چکیده
With the advent of anti-retroviral therapy, non-AIDS-related comorbidities have increased in people living with HIV. Among these comorbidities, pulmonary hypertension (PH) is one most common causes morbidity and mortality. Although chronic HIV-1 infection independently associated development arterial hypertension, PH HIV may also be outcome various co-morbidities commonly observed individuals including obstructive disease, left heart disease co-infections. In addition, association other risk factors, such as illicit drug use, can exacerbate vascular disease. This review will focus on complex interactions contributing to exacerbation patients. We examine proteins, Nef, Tat, gp120 vasculature how proteins alter endothelial smooth muscle function by transforming them into susceptible phenotype. The discusses available infectious non-infectious animal models study HIV- PAH, highlighting advantages disadvantages each model, along their ability mimic clinical manifestations HIV-PAH.

Background: Oral lesions are among the earliest clinical manifestations of human immunodeficiency (HIV) infection and are important in early diagnosis and for monitoring the progression to acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). The purpose of this study was to determine the prevalence of oral lesions and their relationship with a number of factors in HIV/AIDS patients attending an HIV cente...

The human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) is lentivirus (subgroup of retrovirus) which causes HIV infection and it acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). HIV infection leads to low levels of CD4+T cells through number of mechanisms [1]. Our purpose is to review educative HIV prevention and control as Millennium Development Goal (MDG) and WHO's operational goal. In 2000, when ...

As researchers, why do we study socioeconomic impact? For one, to convince people to give higher priority to AIDS prevention. We have seen time and again that policy-makers have been unwilling to commit significant human and financial resources to preventing AIDS until they are confronted with a lot of AIDS. So many places in the world, especially countries in Asia, are poised to experience a r...
متن کاملHuman Immunodeficiency Virus and Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension
Human immunodeficiency virus- (HIV-) related pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) is a rare complication of HIV infection. The pathophysiology of HIV-related PAH is complex, with viral proteins seeming to play the major role. However, other factors, such as coinfection with other microorganisms and HIV-related systemic inflammation, might also contribute. The clinical presentation of HIV-relat...
